Biography

Patricia Ann Shuttlesworth, a teenage daughter of the Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth, was hauled off a Greyhound bus and jailed in Gadsden, Alabama in 1960 for 'breach of the peace' after she sat in the front of the segregated bus while returning from an integrated youth camp. She was convicted of delinquency and placed on indefinite probation.
