Biography
Oscar Seborer was an American electrical engineer and Army veteran who worked at Oak Ridge and Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project. Archival research later identified him as the Soviet source code-named “Godsend.” As the Rosenberg network was being exposed, Seborer, his brother Stuart, Stuart’s wife Miriam and her mother secretly left the United States for the Soviet bloc. They disappeared in Europe in 1952, lived near Dresden under the name Smith, and moved to Moscow in March 1957. Oscar remained in the Soviet Union and Russia until his death in Moscow in 2015.
