Biography
Noureddine Malki, whose real name is not known, became a U.S. citizen using a false identity and later became a contract translator for the U.S. Army. Using his false identity, Nour obtained top security clearances. His other aliases included Abdulhakeem Nour, Abu Hakim, Almalik Nour, and Almaliki Nour.

Custody precision review October 13, 2026: The appellate opinion gives October 2005 arrest without an exact day. The original prosecution announcement confirms the May 19, 2008 initial sentence and August 1, 2012 resentencing. BOP register 63740-053 returns Noureddine Malki, noncustody as of July 23, 2013, confirming the existing endpoint. The unsupported 2,852-day total has been cleared because admission is unknown and arrest is month-only. Exact arrest/admission and an identifiable photograph remain unresolved; photographs of the Algerian journalist or Moroccan doctor with the same name are not this defendant.
