Biography

Mose Taylor, a twenty-one-year-old Black worker, was dismissed from New Orleans ERA gang 157. Page 3’s February 3 dispatch says head grade foreman John Heisler attacked him when he asked why he had been fired, after which Taylor was arrested. He was then released because no charge could be brought against him, but remained without his job. The report links the arrest to the relief-employment dispute; it supplies neither the arrest day nor a measured detention length.
