Biography
Mike Federoff was a labor prisoner held in the Allegheny County Workhouse at Blawnox after the 1931 coal strike. The Daily Worker of January 4, 1932, page 3, names Mike Federoff with Tom Myerscough and Bob Young as defendants arrested at the Wildwood picket line when Pete Zigaric was killed. It says they received long workhouse sentences, were allowed only one visitor a month, and were awaiting a decision on bail after an appeal for a new trial filed December 14. The report does not print an individual formal charge, exact sentence, personal arrest day or release date for Mike Federoff. No accusation of killing Zigaric is inferred merely from the shared setting.
