Biography
Michael Kimble is a Black gay anarchist prisoner and organizer in Alabama. Supporters describe the killing underlying his murder conviction as self-defense against a racist and homophobic attack; this is an attributed account, not a judicial finding of self-defense. Alabama's official inmate record identifies him as AIS 00138017 and lists Jefferson County murder case CC1987-001371, sentenced July 8, 1987, with state-prison admission July 9, 1987. As checked October 12, 2026, the department lists him at Fountain Correctional Center with life imprisonment and parole possible. No actual release is reported. The official admission date differs from supporters' November 12, 1987 account and must not be confused with an independently verified first arrest or pretrial detention day.
