Biography
Max Wallman was a needle-trades worker individually identified in the June 8, 1927 Daily Worker’s report of arrests and police brutality. The newspaper says he was taken to Bellevue Hospital after detectives beat and arrested him. These allegations were presented in Ben Gold’s proposed appeal to the mayor. The quotation uses relative-day wording without an independently fixed quotation date, so an exact June 6 or June 7 admission is not installed. The article’s collective charge description does not identify which worker was the exception; no exact statutory count, release or completed detention is assigned.
