Biography

The March11,1977 WorkersVanguard report identifies Mark Brier as a strike supporter in the Cambion-ThermionicCorp conflict in Cambridge,Massachusetts. It says the December sentencing following the seven-month strike imposed up to 2 years; both sentences were under appeal. Polaski was accused of throwing a rock at a strikebreaker’s car. The report does not establish actual prison admission, physical release or complete service; the nominal sentence is kept separate from actual time. The Cambion article says the December sentences were under appeal and the defendants were currently free on bail. This supplies actual interim liberty, without an exact gate-release day or proof the nominal term was served. Polaski’s up-to-five-year and Brier’s two-year terms are kept individual; the new bail evidence does not convert them to completed custody totals.
