Biography
Marc Hall was an Iraq veteran and Army specialist who protested the military’s stop-loss policy through a rap song. He challenged his detention and sought conscientious-objector status while his supporters organized a legal defense.
Release review October 13, 2026: An IVAW statement reproduced April 21, 2010 includes Hall's direct confirmation by telephone from Kuwait that he was out of confinement. This supports the existing April 2010 month-precision release, not an exact April 17 release. The former sentence note conflated the discharge decision with physical departure and has been corrected. The unsupported exact 110-day total has been cleared. Courage to Resist's March 4 account gives December 12 initial detention; other contemporary accounts give December 11. That one-day conflict remains flagged rather than silently resolved.
