Biography

Luka Kachanov was born 1899 in Gukovo, Russia. Immigrated to the United States in 1917.

Entered the United States in 1917 by jumping ship. He joined the Bristol, Connecticut branch of the Socialist Party of America and later became a member of the Union of Russian Workers in Hartford, Connecticut. Arrested in December 1919 and deported on the Buford on December 21.
