Biography

Louis Perier, a French food worker active in the cafeteria strike, was taken to the Tombs after police entered his room Friday April 19, 1929 and said they found a revolver. He denied possessing it, and the newspaper characterizes the accusation as a frame-up. The April 26 report says attorney Jacques Buitenkant obtained reduction of $2,000 bail to $500 and actual release. No exact physical discharge day or full detention is printed.
