Biography

Louis Joich was a worker named among six people arrested when armed county officials and anti-union forces broke up a National Miners Union meeting at Lithuanian Hall in West Frankfort. The August 26, 1930 Daily Worker names the six individually and says they were due before a grand jury on September 8. The future hearing is not treated as an indictment or verdict. The report provides no precise arrest date, individual statutory charge, physical discharge or completed duration.
