Earlier arraignment and bail status
The Ventura County District Attorney's June 10, 2024 release records an earlier not-guilty plea at the information arraignment, following a preliminary hearing that concluded on May 15, 2024. At that time Alnaji remained out of custody on $50,000 bail. This is a dated historical status report, not an exact bail-release date, and it does not replace the later guilty plea and sentencing recorded above. The release also identifies his birth date as May 6, 1973. Its four-year maximum refers to potential exposure as described in 2024, not a sentence imposed. The original charge list separates involuntary manslaughter and battery causing serious bodily injury from the great-bodily-injury special allegation.
