Biography

Leon Sulkowski, also printed as Suiski, was arrested in the St. Louis deportation investigation described in the 1920 congressional case summary. He disputed proper affiliation of his Polish Socialist section with the Communist Party; the government summary also reports a statement at arrest that he had organized a Polish Communist branch. Officials recommended deportation, but the warrant was canceled March 13. The entry supplies no exact arrest or physical release date and no complete custody duration.
