Biography

Lee Gann was one of three elected representatives of Birmingham forced-labor relief strikers arrested at the Woodlawn relief station on January 28, 1933. The station head called police when Wirt Taylor, Gann and Clark presented the workers’ demands. No formal charge, sentence or release is specified. Page 3. The John Clark record is qualified to avoid merging it with the 1969 Baltimore Black Panther.
