Biography
Lambo Mitseff was secretary of the Communist Party unit in Portland, Oregon. Paul Munter’s February 28, 1931 account explicitly names his September arrest with Vasil Gosheff as the start of a wave of raids against the revolutionary labor movement in the Northwest. The article describes linked federal immigration and state criminal-syndicalism enforcement, but does not individually identify which legal charge or deportation disposition applied to Mitseff. No final sentence or release is established. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1931/v08-n052-NY-sect-one-feb-28-1931-DW-LOC.pdf#page=3
The Portland report names this defendant in the criminal-syndicalism prosecution and the jail photograph caption individually identifies him. Lambo Mitseff is also named for deportation. The article describes raids on the Workers Center and an informer, M. R. Bacon. Ten-year prison terms were threatened exposure, not imposed sentences; no physical release or complete duration is established.
