Biography

Juan Jaca Hernández was an Arecibo commander of the Cadets of the Republic. Imprisoned after the 1950 Nationalist uprising, he remained in custody in 1967. His imprisonment lasted about eighteen years, including confinement at La Princesa and Oso Blanco. He was pardoned in December 1968.

Dávila Marichal describes Juan Jaca remaining with Tomás López de Victoria and Ricardo Díaz father and son in Denton Cave, Miraflores, Arecibo, until a negotiated surrender. This identifies the capture location and circumstances, without an exact arrest or release day.
