Custody record
The cited World War I archival record does not establish a one-day imprisonment. The imposed sentence and the period actually spent in custody are different; no exact duration is recorded here unless supported by custody records.
The June 15, 1918 release entry requires confirmation: an indexed roster dated November 27, 1918 lists Joseph J. Jantz, prisoner 13173. The original roster context and final discharge still need verification.
