Biography

John Weber was a Portland Communist Party activist prosecuted under Oregon's criminal-syndicalism law during the 1934 waterfront strike. He was among workers held after police and vigilantes raided the Workers' Bookshop and Communist Party headquarters in July. Judge Hendrickson set his bail at $1,000.
