Biography

John Visaritis was a labor defendant whom the June 8, 1927 Daily Worker describes as having received a ninety-day workhouse sentence several months earlier and having recently been released on a certificate of reasonable doubt. It reports that the higher court reversed his conviction and dismissed it the previous day, indicating June 7. That judicial action was later than his physical release. The report establishes actual prior confinement but neither ninety days completed nor an exact intake or gate-release day.
