Biography

John Topolcsamyr, printed with minor surname variants, was a Hungarian worker and Workers (Communist) Party member in Pennsylvania. Page 2 reports an earlier arrest on a deportation warrant followed by release, after Hungarian authorities intercepted a letter criticizing Horthy’s repression and sent it to United States immigration officials. He subsequently joined the Party in 1922. The report separately describes citizenship-revocation proceedings begun in March 1926 and a more recent assault warrant and $1,000 bail demand after repeated police raids arising from an argument with a company houseboss. These later legal actions are not presumed to establish an additional completed jail episode, deportation or foreign imprisonment. The earlier arrest and release have no exact dates or measured duration. The report’s relative chronology and citizenship references do not justify a guessed arrest year.
