Biography
John Buschel was the business agent of Local 164 of the Amalgamated Food Workers. The May 31, 1929 Daily Worker reports his arrest for contempt of court in the dispute over an injunction obtained by Bakers Local 500 against Local 164 at the Zingesser bakery, 242 East 169th Street. It expressly says Buschel and two strikers were released. Their individual arrest and discharge days and complete confinement durations are unreported.
