Biography
Jo Ann Santiago was born in Canada in 1922 and brought to the United States at age six. Immigration authorities denied her an adjustment of status after she refused questions about Communism and ordered her deported. After her appeal failed, she chose deportation to Cuba rather than removal to Canada in 1960. The reviewed record establishes no arrest or confinement.
