Biography
Jerry Dale Lowe was a mineworker and union safety committeeman from Logan County, West Virginia. His federal conviction arose from the shooting death of a contractor during the 1993 Rufner mine strike. The Partisan Defense Committee campaigned for him, arguing that he had been framed. Contemporary reporting places him at FCI Ashland, Kentucky, in 2001. The nearly eleven-year figure describes his sentence, rather than verified uninterrupted prison service; his case record distinguishes home confinement from physical imprisonment.
