Biography
Jedediah Peck was a New York legislator. He was arrested in 1799 after circulating a petition opposing the Alien and Sedition Acts. The prosecution did not result in a trial or prison sentence. The statutory penalty must not be treated as time served; his exact detention and release dates remain unverified.
