Biography
Jeane “Blue” Wong is a San Diego educator and immigration enforcement protest organizer. Federal agents arrested her at a Linda Vista apartment complex on July 2, 2025, during a confrontation following an immigration arrest. She was held overnight at the San Ysidro Port of Entry and subsequently released. Initially charged with felony assault on a federal officer, she pleaded guilty to a reduced misdemeanor charge on January 29, 2026. Wong said she pulled an agent’s mask down after he grabbed and pushed her. Her plea agreement described striking the agent. On March 5, 2026, she was sentenced to 45 days of home detention. That sentence was distinct from her initial overnight detention.
Custody record
In a firsthand July 2018 interview, Wong described being arrested while filming the June 23 Otay Mesa detention-center protest. The report identifies the five adult arrestees, including Wong, as released on bail the next day. This is separate from the later ICE-protest case.
