Biography
James Dixon was jailed in Chicago after an August 2, 1975 incident in which a police sergeant was wounded. He pleaded guilty to aggravated battery in July 1976 under a time-served agreement. Investigators subsequently established that the sergeant had accidentally shot himself with an illegal pen gun. Dixon’s conviction was vacated and the charge dismissed on August 20, 1976. The exact physical release date remains unresolved.
