Biography

I. King was a Black Pittsburgh unemployed-workers activist living at 233 E. Jefferson Street. The June 25 dispatch says the Unemployed Council restored his furniture after a Monday eviction, and a constable returned the following Friday, arrested King and held him overnight in County Jail. King emerged Saturday and the owner paid the costs. June 23 arrest and June 24 release are transparent calendar normalizations from that sequence, not printed numerals. His first initial is not expanded. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1933/v010-n154-Nat-jun-28-1933-DW-LOC.pdf#page=2
