Biography

Herbert Buck was identified in the Daily Worker of October 23, 1934, page 3, as a target of police action after seven hundred workers prevented the eviction of Herbert Buck in Danville, Pennsylvania. The article first reports warrants for Harold Thomas, Herbert Buck and Harry Snyder, and ends by demanding release of the three arrested workers. That last statement supports actual arrest rather than warrants alone, but supplies no individual arrest day, charge, release, verdict or time served. The political-targeting allegation is attributed to the newspaper. Harry Snyder is not assumed to be the Oklahoma City relief defendant of the same name.
