Biography

Henderson, whose first name is not supplied, was a Black worker arrested with Robert Washington at an International Labor Defense picnic outside Birmingham. The Daily Worker of September 8, 1934, page 1, reports from Birmingham on September 7 that county police raided the previous day’s picnic, threatened those present with machine guns and arrested the two men. Both were still in jail without a charge at the time of the dispatch. No reliable link to another Henderson profile is established.
