Biography
Harry Steckler was jailed following police action against a Young Communist League meeting at Lincoln Park in Cleveland. The Daily Worker of September 8, 1930, page 3, in a September 7 dispatch, reports that police broke up the meeting while workers prepared for International Youth Day. It states that Julia Boosh and Harry Steckler were in jail and that three League members, including Paul Carter, had been beaten. It does not provide an exact arrest day, formal charge, sentence or eventual release. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1930/v07-n216-NY-sep-08-1930-DW-LOC.pdf
