Biography

Harry Kantor was held on $1,000 bail for the superior court in Boston in 1928 on a charge of criminal libel — for carrying a placard blaming Governor Alvan Fuller for the execution of Sacco and Vanzetti. His fellow demonstrators were fined; his case was one of the free-speech prosecutions the ILD's Labor Defender took up.
