Biography

Hannah Margaret Kass is defendant #24 of the 61 people indicted on September 5, 2023 under the Georgia RICO Act (O.C.G.A. 16-14-4) in the Fulton County prosecution of the "Stop Cop City" / Defend the Atlanta Forest movement opposing the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center. A warrant was issued for their arrest; they were booked into the Fulton County Jail and released on bond. The sweeping indictment, condemned by civil-liberties organizations as an attack on protected protest, remains pending.

The caption explicitly identifies Kass as a defendant in the Stop Cop City racketeering case. Original-pixel portrait crop, preserving her full hair and face; no upscaling, retouching or generated details.

In her2025 Antipode article, Hannah Kass describes two separate completed jail stays:30 hours in Cobb County jail after herMay 2022 arrest near a Brasfield & Gorrie protest, and30 hours in Fulton County jail after the November 6, 2023 RICO arraignment and turn-in the next morning. She identifies the originalMay charges as felony property damage and terroristic threats. These firsthand observations rule out the former continuous counter fromMay 2022 to the present. No precise discharge day or disposition of the RICO case is inferred.
