Biography

Greg Klave and Barb Katt were individually reported jailed from April 13, 1983 after a blood-pouring protest at the Grand Forks Air Force Base chapel. They pleaded guilty April 20 and were ordered to pay court costs; nonpayment produced additional contempt proceedings. The directory subsequently listed Greg as recently out, and the report says he remained free after a May 16 court appearance. Actual multi-night April custody is established, but the precise discharge day and completed total are not supplied; seven nominal contempt days are not automatically added.

Source and limits

The Nuclear Resister No.17, June 6, 1983, original page 5.

Individually named actual political custody is established. Forecasts, nominal sentences, court credits and physical jail service are distinguished. Missing endpoints, vital dates and demographic attributes remain unfilled; no present custody state is inferred from a historical report.

January 1986 Grand Forks sentence and custody limits

The January 15, 1986 Grand Forks AFB report individually names Greg Klave and John LaForge among twelve adults held overnight after the protest. Klave and, the next day, LaForge received thirty-day sentences with ten days suspended and fines. The account provides the imposed terms but not actual completed twenty-day service or a physical discharge date. The initial overnight custody is not inflated into twenty actual days, nor extended into other separately stored cases.
