Biography
George Sexton is a conservation organizer and longtime conservation director of the Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center. He was arrested while protesting exclusion of the public from a forestry-industry meeting at Southern Oregon University in 2004. He was also identified with defendants challenging Oregon’s Interfering with Agricultural Operations law after arrests connected to protests against Biscuit timber-sale logging. The Oregon Supreme Court held the law unconstitutional in 2009. Available accounts do not establish Sexton’s exact arrest day, booking interval or individual sentence.
