The Detroit bulletin says he left home for a union meeting at6p.m.Thursday,December21 and that indications suggested kidnapping from his usual railroad-crossing path before his body was thrown from a car around3a.m. The paper attributes responsibility to Ford-aligned KuKluxKlan and AmericanLegion men; that allegation is not treated as a judicial finding.
