Biography

An AFL leader identified only as Galloway was arrested in Indianapolis on June 18, 1934 while addressing Kingan pork-and-beef packing workers about their strike vote. The correspondent says he was urging workers not to strike when police arrested him. Bond was fixed at $50; no statutory charge, payment, release or final disposition is printed. His forename is unknown and he is not identified with the unrelated colonial-era Joseph Galloway.
