Biography
Frederick Urban, age 46, was arrested April 1995 in Scranton, Pennsylvania while driving a van containing explosive devices; statements he made indicated intent to use the explosives against the federal government and a right-wing anti-government ideology. Convicted at trial of possession of an unregistered destructive device with a special-skill enhancement. A 2024 federal complaint directly linked him to the earlier conviction and reported his arrest during an August 10, 2024 search in Doña Ana County, New Mexico. The new complaint alleged possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of an unregistered destructive device; it does not establish the outcome of that case or his physical release date.
