Biography

Frank Segar, a Freiheit correspondent, was arrested in Pittsburgh while assisting children collecting miners’ relief during an August 1931 tag day. The Daily Worker also prints his surname as Sedar in the same report. He and Workers International Relief secretary Norma Martin appeared in court on Sunday morning. The article explicitly reports Martin’s release but gives no individual discharge for Segar or completed detention total.
