Biography

Frank Mitchell was arrested with Marine Workers Industrial Union officers Harold Hynes and H. Harvey in New Orleans during a longshore strike. The March 26, 1931 Daily Worker reports that the arrests concerned strike leaflets urging injunction defiance and mass picketing, and states that Mitchell was found not guilty. The report does not establish his exact arrest day, release day or length of detention. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1931/v08-n074-NY-mar-26-1931-DW-LOC.pdf#page=1
