Biography

F. Kromotis was a needle-trades worker individually identified in the June 8, 1927 Daily Worker’s report of arrests and police brutality. The newspaper says he was taken into a room at the 30th Street police station after arrest on the picket line and severely beaten. These allegations were presented in Ben Gold’s proposed appeal to the mayor. The quotation uses relative-day wording without an independently fixed quotation date, so an exact June 6 or June 7 admission is not installed. The article’s collective charge description does not identify which worker was the exception; no exact statutory count, release or completed detention is assigned.
