Biography
Erny Davies was individually identified by Ken Rippetoe’s signed first-person account as physically confined in Wyandotte County Jail on July 4, 1986, following the meal protest and tear-gassing of their cell block. The same September issue’s current-prisoner directory independently lists Davies at Leavenworth for the May 1986 Missouri missile-silo prayer witness, with a nominal five months and 29 days. These two historical placements establish actual multi-night political custody, not merely an imposed sentence. No initial admission, transfer day, actual November release or completed nominal duration is inferred.
The March 9, 1983 Nuclear Resister names Erny Davies of Langsville, Ohio, with Erin Salva of Mount Vernon in an Ash Wednesday prayer witness at the Goodyear Atomic enrichment plant at Piketon. Both were released after twenty-four hours and later received probation for trespass. This was a separate 1983 episode from Davies’s later Missouri anti-nuclear imprisonment.

The original report individually names Erny Davies of Langsville, Ohio, arrested at the Easter Sunday 1983 Goodyear Atomic prayer witness, found guilty the following day and still physically confined at Pike County Jail. April 3 and April 4 follow the issue’s explicit Good Friday April 1 calendar. First physical jail admission is not separately printed and remains blank. Fifteen imposed days and a possible extra five are not completed time; April 25 was only expected release. This is separate from the February 1983 brief stay and the existing 1986 Missouri case.
