Biography
Emilio Figueroa Guadalupe is identified among young Vieques residents who were tried and imprisoned during the struggle against U.S. Navy occupation. Francisco J. Pimentel, representing Juventud Viequense Unida and serving in the Vieques Municipal Assembly, named Emilio Figueroa Guadalupe in testimony published with the 2001 Sixth Congress of the Ibero-American Federation of Ombudsmen.
The testimony documents historical imprisonment connected to the Vieques campaign. It supplies no individual arrest date, sentence, prison location or release date. The year 2001 identifies the testimony, rather than an established start of custody.
