Biography
Edward Dingle, known as Kimanthi and identified as prisoner 64391, was an Attica prisoner and uprising survivor. He co-signed political letters with James Rahaam Moore describing the state's retaking of Attica, the prosecution of prisoners and their ongoing confinement; their first-anniversary statement listed an Auburn prison address. In an individually signed letter Dingle described prison labor, racial discrimination and restrictions on religious and political expression. His original conviction, admission date and eventual release remain unverified.
The March 1973 Attica News roster prints Edward Dingle among the uprising prisoner defendants, linked to indictment 5, 15: 34 first-degree kidnapping counts; coercion and unlawful imprisonment. The table lists maximum statutory exposure, not sentences actually imposed or time served; no custody dates or duration are inferred.
