Biography
Edo Mita was a Japanese-born Los Angeles resident and husband of wartime-incarceration survivor Chiye Mori. The government pursued his deportation for alleged Communist Party association. In 1958 his seven-year case was ordered reheard under the Supreme Court’s Rowoldt decision, and the proceeding ultimately ended in his favor. The reviewed record does not establish an immigration arrest or confinement.
