Biography
Dwayne McCain, called Stickey and identified as fourteen years old, was taken into police custody in Richmond, California on April 9, 1970. A Richmond Black Panther Party account describes a dispute between youths and an older woman near Bissell Avenue, police beating McCain, and officers placing him in a police car. The article frames the encounter as racial police harassment and says his sister Detra was also arrested after urging the woman not to hit her brother. These are attributed contemporary allegations, with no stated criminal charge, custody duration, final disposition or release date.
