Biography
Dennis Hickey Rivera was arrested on April 28, 2001 during civil disobedience against the Navy bombing range at Vieques. The First Circuit’s April 29, 2002 opinion records the arrest and a 30-day prison sentence following the consolidated July 6, 2001 trial before Judge Héctor M. Laffitte. It affirmed the conviction. The source establishes actual pretrial detention, but supplies no individual discharge date or verified total time served. A 30-day imposed sentence is not recorded as 30 days physically served.
