Biography
Dario Sanchez is one of the later-arrested defendants in the Prairieland prosecutions that grew out of the July 4, 2025 noise demonstration at the Prairieland ICE detention center in Alvarado, Texas. Not alleged to have been present that night, he is accused of evidence tampering for removing a person from Signal and Discord chats, and has been arrested three times in connection with the case. Across three separate detentions between July 15 and September 24, 2025 he spent roughly 43 days in custody before being released on bond; his case remains pending.

The January 2026 Prairieland update describes Sanchez’s defense motion challenging his state indictment over alleged removal of a person from private group chats. It distinguishes his state motions proceeding from the separate federal trial then scheduled for other defendants. The impending hearing and expected trial dates are not treated as completed outcomes or new detention periods.
