Biography
Coyote Sheff was an anarchist prisoner and prison organizer at Ely State Prison in Nevada, identified in contemporary support records as prisoner 55671. He organized an Anarchist Black Cross chapter and reading groups inside prison and published accounts of prison conditions. His supporters reported that his final three years in solitary confinement were retaliation for his organizing. Later accounts confirm his release in November 2013. He is documented here as a politicized prisoner and organizer; the available evidence does not establish that his original prosecution was politically motivated.
