Biography
Christian Yearous, a sixty-one-year-old farmer from Wisconsin, alleged he was "framed up " under the Espionage Act. After serving a year at Leavenworth Penitentiary, Yearous was bitter. In a letter to the Department of Justice demanding that his name be cleared, Yearous wrote: "I am an old man that the lawyers have robbed of my home and family and the law will not protect me.... All I ask is justice."
